This impressive showpiece was completed in 1998. It sits on
a full city block of downtown Fort Worth. Built in classic
Eropean opera house form, the 2,056 seat hall has an 80-foot diameter dome
and 48-foot tall angels sculpted from Texas limestone on the Grand Facade.
Six seating levels in the audience chamber are arranged in horseshoe-shaped
tiers, including two piano boxes which exist in no other performance space
in the world.
An impressive list of performers and performances wee listed on the calendar of events. The ticket prices were just as impressive. They do have to pay for their fancy new hall, I guess. |
